The award-winning LGT Young Soloists string orchestra is made up of highly talented young musicians from over 15 countries, aged 14 – 23. This project is the only one of its kind around the world and gives gifted young talents the opportunity to appear on a regular basis on the most prestigious global stages and treat audiences to their much-lauded performances as soloists and in chamber and orchestra formation.

Lead by charismatic violinist and teacher Alexander Gilman, the ensemble has already performed in the Vienna Musikverein and the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie and appeared at major festivals such as the Rheingau Musik Festival and the Dresdner Musikfest.

What we can expect is a veritable reference programme in terms of classical music: two soloists will open with Bach’s virtuoso double violin concerto, followed by the orchestral arrangement of Beethoven’s cello sonata from the Beethoven recomposed project, which has proven to be a great success for the LGT Young Soloists. In the second part of the concerts, we will hear Schubert’s legendary Death and the Maiden for string quartet, in its congenial arrangement for orchestra by Gustav Mahler.
