«We come from far far away» tells the story of two boys from Aleppo, who are travelling across Europe in the hope of making it to Norway. As they travel through Türkiye, Greece and Macedonia, the two youngsters tell stories of people, things and places, and about life. The audience is invited into a Mongolian yurt to hear tales of seeking and finding refuge, accompanied by live music, clown performances and shadow puppets, all focused on life on the road.
This multinational ensemble from Norway, Czechia and the UK narrates a visual and acoustic tale that is both personal and universal, delving deep into migration, origins and belonging. Innovative performance techniques, impressive visual effects and powerful live music take the audience on a journey which tells not only of faraway places, but also of people’s inner universes. In a world where borders and distance seem to be gaining in importance, this play takes you beyond geographical and cultural restrictions and to the heart of the matter.
