«Actapalabra» takes a young audience into the orbit of a revolutionary Beckettian universe. Two clowns perform on stage without ever having recourse to words. The show delves into the mechanisation of our lives and the time that we are lacking. The moving set revolves around them like a world of relentless absurdity. A premonition whispers in our ears these gentle words: «Leave the mechanical behind, hope is there, within you, you already know all you need to know.» The two figures are there for each other as the one who is different, the one who is not us. See what I mean.
The «Actapalabra» clown and machine show is a beautiful phantasmagoria for two clowns, brought to life by Am Stram Gram, a Geneva children’s and youth theatre company that knows what gets young people excited. One critic said that as far as they could remember, they had never witnessed a performance where the young audience had been so passionately involved in what they were watching. «Actapalabra» was invited to the 2025 Swiss Theatertreffen and is touring internationally across Europe and Canada.
