The stage is empty, save for a large chest. Inside it can be heard feathers floating around, doors creaking and dust being stirred up. Who lives in there? In the kitchen, the kettle is whistling to itself, while up in the attic, secrets are waiting to be discovered and down in the cellar, rumours abound. And somewhere in between, a choir of carefree houseflies is humming. Limbs, heads and bodies appear and transform themselves into new and curious figures. This house is a picturesque bestiary, an organism, a living thing that is part of the neighbourhood.
Actor Annina Mosimann emerges from inside the chest with a veritable treasure trove of figures, as well as her own hands and feet. She brings it all together to make a colourful community which sings a song about living together in the most confined of spaces. Inspired by the dusty tomes of zoology books as well as classic variety music, this performance becomes a tribute to the house and to those who live in it.

Together with dancer and dance teacher Carla Doorn, the youngest theatergoers and their companions discover the world of theater in a playful way. The focus is on the fun of discovery. The combination of play, movement, and acoustics draws inspiration from the production “Bestiarium,» which is being performed in parallel for children aged 5 and up on the theater stage.
The whole family is now invited to the «Junges Foyer» format, which is based on four selected productions. In addition to attending a performance, there is also the opportunity to get involved and engage in discussion. While older children attend the performance, the «Junges Foyer» offers an introduction to the world of theater, a thematic and artistic participatory format for younger children and one accompanying adult. Before and after the performance, there are further activities for the whole family, such as a guided tour of the theater, a space for meeting others, or a post-performance discussion. The «Junges Foyer” bar is open to all visitors.
Price: CHF 15 per person for one child and one accompanying adult
