Ländlermusik | Central Switzerland | International
The final «Heimatklänge» («Sounds of Home») concert is both contemporary and highly traditional. InterFolk are three musicians who all grew up with traditional folk music before ploughing their own new furrows. They encapsulate how versatile folk music can be and how well the old can sit with the new. They play their own compositions as well as works by their musical ancestors.
For this performance, they have invited Zug clarinettist Mathias Landtwing and his Kapelle Mathi Landtwing to join them. This ensemble is dedicated to stylish, traditional and concert-worthy Central Swiss-style Ländlermusik (rural music) as they strive to maintain their musical heritage. Their repertoire includes a wide variety of seminal Ländlermusik works, ranging from Kasi Geisser, Jost Ribary and the Kapelle Heirassa through to the likes of Fritz Dünner and Carlo Brunner. This musical approach is backed by the classic Central Swiss formation of clarinet, accordion, piano and double bass.
Andrea Ulrich from Schwyz – one of Switzerland’s foremost accordionists – plays in both of these top-quality ensembles who will ensure a concert that is as exciting as it is varied, to bring the 2026/27 Heimatklänge season to a fitting conclusion.
