English Stand-up Comedy

Peter Flanagan is an accomplished Irish stand-up comedian and journalist based in London. Known for his sharp, whip-smart comedy, he has performed at top clubs, theatres and festivals all around the world, including the legendary Comedy Store in London and touring with the world famous Comedy Factory in the Middle East. Flanagan first decided to perform stand-up while backpacking through Australia after university. A few weeks later he found himself performing in front of 1,200 people at Perth’s His Majesty Theatre as part of the city’s «Raw» comedy competition final! After returning to Ireland, he quickly found himself in the finals of the «Irish Comedian of the Year» and «Laughing Horse» new act awards. Today he is one of the most in-demand young comics on the London comedy scene, having recently sold out a series of solo work-in-progress shows at Bill Murray's Comedy Store. Besides comedy, he is also known as a writer whose searing and viral opinion pieces have appeared in The Irish Times and The Journal. 

Erich McElroy is a Seattle-born stand-up comedian and writer who moved to the UK in 2000 and became a British citizen in 2007. He entertains audiences across the country with his witty, insightful take on British life through the eyes of an American. A familiar face on the Edinburgh comedy scene, Erich combines political satire with modest, bookish charm and a genuine affection for the UK. He has appeared on BBC Breakfast, Newsnight and Sky News, as well as on BBC Radio. He has also contributed to publications including The Independent, The Herald and The Huffington Post. He also hosts the American Exchange podcast.
