Most of us conform to social norms, at least to a certain extent. Our lives are full of habits and rules that we follow: we bake people cakes when it is our birthday, wait obediently in queues, say «bless you» when someone sneezes. The two protagonists in Dummies however seem to know nothing about convention. They live a life full of freedom and fun... until suddenly someone appears and takes them off into a reality of unwritten rules. Suddenly they have to live up to standards and expectations. The interplay between freedom and restrictions kicks into gear and develops into a stark yet humorous collision between two worlds, and it turns out that both sides can learn from one another. Dummies laughs as it lifts the lid on the absurdity of our own habits and gives us a fresh take on what we believe to be «normal».

Collectief dOFt is a dance and theatre troupe based in Leuven, Belgium, which produces refreshing and dynamic shows for children, young people and adults. The acrobatic abilities of the performers is a sight to behold, where every risk is seen as a challenge.
