«Unvarnished and historical» – this is how violinist Alina Ibragimova and conductor and pianoforte player Kristian Bezuiodenhout describe their version, played with the Basel Chamber Orchestra, of the fourth part of their Mozart cycle. Mozart’s violin concerto is played on historical instruments, juxtaposed between compositions from his earlier symphonies and those of his contemporaries.
